Steve Ringgold
Head Coach, Sprints

Steve, Simi Valley Track & Field's head coach, is in his 15th year with the program. Originally from New York, Steve was a high school baseball player having never participated in T&F. Steve found track and field with his wife, Ann, when their son, Matthew, joined the Simi Valley Running Rebels youth track club as a 2nd year Bantam.

Simi Valley high school needed a sprints coach when Matthew moved into 9th grade and Steve took the job. Matt went on to have an outstanding senior year where he was the Marmonte League Champion in the 100m, 200m and Long Jump going undefeated in league competition.

Matt has since graduated (class of 2011) and Steve continues coaching focusing on making Simi Valley high school THEE destination school for high school T&F.

Coach Steve is a USATF Level I certified coach and spent a week in Seattle during the summer of '16 working with some of USA's best sprints coaches at the USTFCCCA Sprints, Hurdles & Relays Specialist Certification course.
